Sad News.  Long time Clark's Landing resident and friend Jack McKenna died earlier this week.  He will be missed.
Below is the obituary from today's Asbury Park Press

John James McKenna

AGE: 92 • Point Pleasant

John James "Jack" McKenna, John was a lifelong resident of New York City until moving to Point Pleasant in 1992. Graduate of Xavier High School and Fordham University. World War II Veteran, served in Europe with the 42nd Division, member of the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans.

Employed for 40 years by General Paper Goods Manufacturing Company, Brooklyn, NY. Retired in 1988, having served as Factory Superintendent, Executive Vice President, President and Chairman of the Board. Served two terms as President of New York and Eastern Envelope Manufacturers Association and served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Envelope Manufacturers of America. While living on Staten Island, he served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea. He was a member of St. Peters Church, Pt. Pleasant Beach. Jack loved his family and thanked God for them.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth McKenna (nee Kehoe); four children; Mary, Patricia, Christine Joura and her husband Arthur, John Kyran and his wife, Naomi; six grandchildren; Katherine McKenna Kullman, Anders and Evan Joura, John James, Joseph Kyran and Mary Frances Mckenna.

Viewing hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Thursday morning from 9:00-9:30am at Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home 812 Arnold Ave. Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. (732) 892-0100  A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday at 10:00am at St. Peters Church, Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to EWTN Catholic Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Rd, Irondale, AL 35210.
